Rear PDC Volume low - how do i adjust?

Evening,

Done some searching before starting new thread but most are in relation to audio upgrades etc

My rear PDC volume is really low i have to concentrate to hear it. when it beeps i turn the volume right all the way up...but still its not loud.

i checked in INPA for errors and had none but i noticed the front and back speaker switches werent activated. i tried to switch them on but got error saying something about total number of speakers

anybody else know how to increase volume. is there a setting? car does not have navigation

It's in the menu on the radio isn't it where you can change the bass and treble. Should be able to scroll through to PDC

I think you can adjust it on CIC cars but not CCC cars. I'd have thought that altering the volume when the car is in reverse (and beeping) and then leaving it at a comfortable level would sort it. I'll have a play later and see if I can figure anything out.

when i adjust the volume when it beeps it does get louder but still. it is very very low. confusing but normally im used to using the idrive to play around with the settings but this hasnt got it (yet) so im abit rusty on using the stalk and profession radio etc

LCI cars have CIC in them. CIC is LCI satnav / idrive. CCC is old style.

If you have couple of buttons on ur idrive controller and it basically looks old youve got ccc

I have a 58 e92 without I drive, if you press the music note symbol on your standard head unit as you would to change the bass etc the far right of the display shows an arrow select that, it then scrolls to the next page and I have the option to change pdc volume there.

Just double checked in my car and it's definitely there, apologies you don't actually select the arrow it's just at the end of the page and automatically switches page as you scroll that way. The option is named PDC on mine

Sorry for the multiple posts but just came accross info stating,

In 2007 they didn't have the software to change the pdc volume on the professional HU, That came with a software upgrade around 2009.

As you mentioned earlier yours is a 57 so this may be the case
