Bastuck quad for e92 335

i am considering getting a bastuck quad for my e92 335 because i hear this exhaust doesn't drone.

i drive an auto so would like to hear from anyone who is also running this on an auto to check whether or not it actually drones at low revs

also i currently have a hamann diffuser - will the bastuck fit into this without major mods?

Why not just get the Hamann (made by Supersprint) or the Supersprint unit?

By the way, you're in the wrong section of the forum.

the supersprint doesn't fit on the Hamann quad diffusor. If you dont belive me, ask Kenntona!

the Bastuck quad also doesn't fit on the Hamann diffusor, the Hamann is smaller than the Bastuck diffusor. So you need the Bastuck diffusor.

and on Youtube you finde some soundclips.

Yeah Kuvesh. Ken had to lengthen his diffuser to accommodate his quads.

kuvesh,

I have a 335i with the bastuck quad, absolutely no drone. Just a nice throaty rumble. Great exhaust, I highly recommend it! (I have auto as well)

search Kenntonas thread. there you can read how he do it.

but i wouldn't go with the Superspring, it expensive and the sound isn't as good as the Bastuck.

The bastuck is a good choice, we just had a local customer pick one up from us. I will try to get some videos for you guys but it is really a great setup if you want something noticeably deeper that is not too drony.

I asked him a couple questions, but he never wrote back..... That being one of the original questions. I guess I'll just go with the Hamann unit then. It's hella expensive though.

i just ordered the bastuck - i already have the hamann diffuser on my ride (which i used for my eisenmann race). will let you know how it goes.

since i live in singapore, i have the contacts of the guys kentonna used to mod his diffuser to fit the his ss - hopefully i dont have to do the same because the hamann diffuser is damn expensive to start cutting up and if something goes wrong it will be painful...

Yeah, I totally understand what you mean. I have one on order myself as well. After seeing this thread, I think I'm going to stay with the Hamann exhaust so there'll be no fitment issues.

E-Sport might be a better choice for me. I don't want my wife to strangle me when we cruise on the highway due to the drone (I have a 6AT).

What Kenn did was to cut the hamann diffuser in half and use filler for the middle section.

from the a supplier in germany (recommended by another bastuck owner on the forum) - definitely much cheaper than buying from the US and delivering to me over here in singapore.

to close off this thread I installed the bastuck quad over the weekend

i can confirm it doesn't drone but IMO is not much louder than stock

ended up that it didnt fit into the hamann diffuser because the distance between the left and right tips was too wide. to install we cut exhaust pipes, repositioned and welded back on. in all the total install took about 2 hours.

still uncertain whether this is the exhaust for me - the growl of from my previous eisenmann race is hard to beat... pity about the drone....
