No need to pile on (and you are not by accepting his apology).... I am sure everyone of us has made mistakes in the past.

The real enemies are the scammers.... Let's focus on nailing this guy.

I just thought it was weird when VIPtuning copied my custom exhaust and started to sell it.
WTF?

I made up this exhaust to help the community save some money by adding universal parts here and there, but to sell it as a complete system for a higher price defeats the purpose.

Mike, you should be glad it was just some stroke trying to start a tuning business that reeled you in and not a cult. You could be pushing up daisies in white Nike's as opposed to being out a couple of grand with the way you drank that Kool-aid.

I'm glad you finally figured it out though.

It seems like the things people argue with me the most about always come back around eventually. I feel bad for all the south Florida people, but I mean come on guys? Really?

Kind of funny to see that kid who was such a fanatical zealot of VIP go full circle.
well

i have dealt alot of shop in my time. this one beat all of my experience with preformance shop.. I was like it is very unreal for any company to make TCC for e92 already.. THey were advertised how fast they were going at 1/4 mile. was it like 11.89 something like that.. I guess people need to find their way to get money to feed them.. I guess alot of people in here are too much a bmw fans. they jump into any good stuffs without doing more research on it.

oh well thanks for the information.. For record. i never was a believer in VIP tuning.

By the way.. this is the real company

The story I described above is of Andrew (E90Poster) that you are describing. I talked with him for hours about this recently just to make sure I had the right information when I posted it here. Need to have 100% factual information to keep this OK when a lawsuit rolls around. I want to be up front with all of you about what's going on, and I must be sure to do so in only factual information that isn't biased with emotion.

Like I said before, the "I told you" posts aren't all that helpful, but they have their place.

Well, after he wrecked my car, I advised Mike not to go and let him play with shit he had no right playing with. It really sucks this is the way things turned out and I feel bad for you Mike. I lost money in the car wreck too, so I know how you feel. The enticing avenue of running an 11.9 1/4 mile "without spray" is of course, intoxicating. If nothing went wrong(i.e. car wreck) then I probably would be up the same shit creek as you.

Yes, Jacque and a buddy mechanic took out my car for a "test drive" to see if everything was ok supposedly. Supposedly, a truck cut them off and they swerved from the middle lane into the right lane, lost control and hit a palm tree, demolished a lightpole next to the palm tree and were stopped by the palm tree on the otherside of the light pole. He said he was doing the speed limit. It really doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that that is a lot of f'ing damage for 45 mph. I give them the fact that the day was really rainy and that it was raining really really hard and I am sure traction was very much an issue.

Now what I hear from other sources what happened to my silver E90 335i that was wrecked by Jacque and his buddy is different. I do not claim this to be the absolute truth, but this is just what I hear around the block. Supposedly Jacque and his mechanic buddy took my 335i to race Jacque's "business partner" of VIP John who owned the older style M3. The 335i lost control and wrecked and John fled the scene. Once again, this is just a speculative story that is floating around, so I take no legal implications tied to this story.

That money could be used for new flooring in my apt. in Tallahassee. Maybe we'll get it. But his game is over.

O-Cha, I'd like to take this opportunity and apologize to you. I was wrong, you were right. It's hard to read the posts that say "I told you so - you deserve it", but I guess I do.

In the end, it all comes down to trust that shouldn't have been there, my stupidity, my mom's trust in me, how I let her down, and a big lesson learned in life. Visa, PayPal, and get it done the RIGHT way as much more as it costs you, not the ghetto/shady way. There's a reason why Active Autowerke is large and in charge in this industry, but I've taken it as an expensive lesson. The dance has just begun.

I swung a big circle, indeed.

Sorry O-Cha and E90Post/N54tech.....ALL OF YOU WERE RIGHT.

Mike
I value what you just did, It takes a big man to do what you just did, you admitted your fault, and apalogized in front of the whole forum, I hope you get your money back soon, hopefully justice is served.

Thank you IS and Tbone. I look forward to your continued insight and participation in these forums.

To the question above:

Thankfully, I have a signed invoice stating the specific parts, cost, and stamped PAID and signed by Mr. Deas. He really has no way out in the court of law.

UPDATE:

Vista BMW of Pompano called up today and stated that Mr. Deas said that I NEVER gave him my wheels/tires, which I clearly did and my body shop is witness to that. My wheels are now officially stolen by Mr. Deas.

Time to turn up the flame at the BMW dealership and BMW USA..... He is now in full denial.

Print off all his posts on this board and others and show him. Show them the cheque deposited for $6700...hopefully he was dumb enough to use his name.

He took your money, time for a little payback.

Wow, I have no idea how you could put up with all of those stories. I would have resorted to violence after the 2nd excuse.

Well, at least his business is now shot as far as e90post goes... what a POS.

After two months and no products for your $6700 why in the world would you give him your rims/tires and money for springs? You already knew he was b.s. yet you still dumped more money into this joke? I would of showed up at his place with a baseball bat.

Just composed the letter to BMW NA about the current situation. All the necessary documents from Lorinser, our attorney, body shop, etc. will be attached in the package. We have the evidence, plain and simple.

It's a shame because there is one nice guy whom I really think is a good guy and he will get caught in the middle. They now spread a rumor around the dealership that my mom almost got escorted off the property by the police, but we had a meeting with the GM and drove away in our respected vehicles. The other guy is upset we gave up Mr. Deas's scheme to BMW, but he screwed himself, cut and dry.

It's just really a shame how he screwed himself up, and I hope he doesn't bring down with him his 'other' friend. Every action we have taken we've had full right to.

Be sure to document any respresentations / statements made by Mr. Deas about his association with the BMW Dealership or BMW. Statements, if true, like:
  • Don't worry, if anything breaks, I will get it covered under warranty
  • Trust me, I work for BMW
Don't make false statements but disclose ANY representations he made about the dealership or BMW USA.

BMW USA will be very interested if their agents / certified techs are moonlighting by ripping people off and destroying BMWs.

How many here actually watched the first ones (4 - 6) in the theater?

I was there (at a young age of seven) for the first way back in 1977!!! It was certainly a different experience then. Is this OT??

I was too young for 4, but I saw 5 and 6 in the theater.
