camshaft errors and stalling

2007 e92 automatic
all camshaft position sensor codes. p0012, p0015

I've replaced both vanos, all intake and exhaust sensors. Code p0012 just returned.
Car drivers beautifully. Occasionally, when braking and the Car shifts from 3 to 2 (I use the m/s), the car rpms fall, flutter up and down around 5k rpm, make a small grinding noise, and then catch. Drives fine.
Sometimes, it doesn't catch and the car stalls and I lose power steering. This happens going into a turn which is scary and dangerous.

I put it in neutral, press the start button, and put it back into gear.

Can't always replicate it and my shop had it for a day. Never saw it.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
