Fellow techs, i need help
I have an E60 M5 that is kicking my ass, RRT already tried to fix it, 2 visits later it was brought to me, essentially I have a bank one lean. all o2 sensors were replaces, intake was smoke tested, fuel pressure is good, MAF sensors swapped. reflashed the DME and EGS. Still throws a 277c on cruise. Bank 1 EGT are approx. 30 deg higher than bank 2 on cruise.
Ive called most people that I know and know body has any insight. |

They've probably checked this already, but were the injectors tested?

I wonder if it has a clogged injector. Less fuel in the cylinder would cause a lean condition, even while MAF/intake/Fuel pressure were all working normally. Just a thought.

yall ready for this..... the bank 2 egt sensor was not seated correctly. I decided to smoke test that bank as well just to mark sure. and found the leak. sealed it up and shes been code free. Even got it through emissions. I have no Idea how or why that was affecting bank 1 but ill take it, lol

Funny how sometimes it's the simplest, seemingly non-related things! Glad to hear it's fixed!
