I thought the part# for index 12 was 13538616079.

I stand corrected. I found the Invoice and it looks like the same part number as Index 12.

13-53-8-616-079 Injector: 135030
13-53-7-564-751 Decoupling Element: 135060

So either my SA thought the 13 in front was for Index 13, or he just told me I had index 13 to make me feel better lol. Sorry for the misinformation.

I would go with the Index 12 if you can get them.

Every injector requires coding...doesn't matter what the index is.

According to my BMW wholesale rep-bmw parts purchased from a third party reseller don't carry a warranty short of whatever they as a company give you Such as ecs or turner. They may offer a warranty themselves but good luck having a bmw dealer warranty that. They may do it as a goodwill gesture but if they do so in any other way they are not following the rules put in place by bmw na.
How the BMW dealers that sell online handle warranty is a big gray area from what I've been told since in theory those would have a warranty backed by BMW.
Sales people will tell you anything you wanna hear so long as you keep coming back vs buying the exact same elsewhere for cheaper. I'm sure he has zero financial gain in giving you this smoke and mirrors info...

People also still believe the old mantra that you get what you pay for, yet here we are driving some of the most expensive vehicles on the road and then justify why we spend thousands upon thousands to keep them on the road vs other makers. That mantra needs to die.
