Yep - actually, he called me to tell me. He gave me a call when the car started to get built, when it was complete, when it got on the boat, and when it makes its last stop in Europe. The next call is when it gets to the SC performance center. I can not wait!

Nope, I am on the Freedom. I will have to wait until she hits Charleston and then fret as my baby gets shipped to Iowa.

I just don't know yet if knowing where the ship is is a good thing or makes the wait even worse. At least your baby gets off the ship in NYC. I gotta wait another 5 days after NYC until she reaches Charelston than another week at least until she gets to Iowa. This is gonna kill me !!

Haha....definately makes the wait worse....just check the "who is on the liberty thread" 4 pages long with people checking on the current location of their cars. I am one of those crazy people.

yeah!!!!! It is about time.

glrush - at least you will get it about a week after it gets to SC. I have to wait to 3/29 (had to push it back another day)!

It is going to kill me to know that the car is going to be sitting there waiting to be driven!!

I didn't think that PCD will hold onto your car for that long a period. How did you manage that?

All I did was ask. My CA said "No problem - as long as the date is not filled." He also could not guarentee me that date until (I think) he said we were within 8 weeks of delivery. However, he also said that their dealership does not have a lot of PCD's so he said there was a good chance that if he asked now, he would be able to book the date.

All I know is that I asked, and my CA came through for me! YEA!!!

Good thing to know. Thanks for the heads up..

One other question...do you have to settle payment when they get your car or right before you go down to PCD? 2 months would be a long time to have a car paid for and not get to use it.

No, I did not pay yet. I asked that question to my CA, and he said anytime within a week of delivery I should come in.

Just a few more days for it to arrive at nyc. Do you guys know what is the typical time frame from the arrival of the vessel to actually taking delivery?

I do not know for sure, but in your case (since you are so close) I would think
I would count on at least 4 days. They have to unload, transport, and prep your car. They may be efficient, but the question is how efficient. Good luck!

57 days and counting for me...
