E93 M3 No Crank Condition
Recently bought an E93 M3 from auction for a new project and I cannot get the car to crank. Car started and was driven onto the transport, but they came to drop it off at my house it turned on for a minute then died.
All the interior electronics are functional, I can hear the fuel pump priming, and relays clicking when I click the Start button. I have replaced/diagnosed the following: 1. New battery 2. IBS not the issue since the crank doesn't crank irrespective of whether its connected or not 3. Bypassed the BST via 2ohm resistor. I see the same voltage at the battery (13.5v) that I see at the starter cable and jump post in the engine bay 4. Replaced the positive battery cable. The old one had rusted off due to water sitting in the battery tray. When they jumped the car at auction they had a jump box in the front as well as the back. 5. I bench tested the starter and it turns without any issues Looking for any ideas. Thanks Last edited by Tut4u2; 08-30-2019 at 05:19 AM.. |

Its a DCT and I have tried it both in Park and Neutral.
The only code worth noting is: 00A0C1 CAS: Output, Terminal 50 I figure I'm getting that since the starter isn't turning. |

After hooking up another external charger, the car started. Not sure why the new battery wasn't enough for it, even though it was showing enough voltage all around.

The issue has been resolved. I had to replace the positive battery terminal cable again for some reason. The original replacement was faulty.
Thank you |
