Mtec 8000k D1s for Xenon illegal?

I was just wondering if the Mtec's 8000k D1s for my 07 328i coupe will be illegal because it's too blue?

Also, is the OSS design's LED angel eye retrofit blue enough to be illegal?

If it is illegal, how likely is it to get tickets for them?

i'm not 100 % sure, but i believe anything over 8000k is illegal.

You should be fine though!

its not illegal, but its kind of blue, 6k will probably be a better choice for overall output and color

Technically anything but 4300k is against DOT regulations but I have never heard of someone getting pulled over or failing inspection for an 8000k bulb.

I keep hearing 6000k is better but I personally like the blueish color better and don't care much about the light output since my previous car did not have xenon anyway.
Are you saying the 6000k 'looks' much better? Or are you recommending because of its output + okay color.

Some people like 6k, others prefer 8k. Depends on the type of look you're going for.
