Help! Donohoo Auto?

Has anyone on here purchased a vehicle from donohoo auto group in Pelham, AL. I was looking at a few cars online and they had at least 3 that caught my eye. I live about 2hrs away though. I'd just hate to drive all the way down there to find out that they are a local, shady dealer. Did a forum search, but didn't see anyone that actually made a purchase.

Help if you can...

119 reviews with a 2yr average of 4.6/5

That's what we used when we had your dilemma. We just purchased a CPO + Maintenance contract 535i from them and were more than happy with the service and what we received. So much in fact we are purchasing another BMW from Donohooauto.

I talked to them a few times, they seemed legit. I read some good reviews online before even reaching out to them. If they would have given me more for my trade in or come down on the price, I would have bought from them. I still might if/when i sell my car privately. I'm happy that they at least list all of their lemon cars up front. It seems a shady dealer would not advertise that and leave it up to you to ask about or find out through running your own carfax.

Been doing a research on these "lemon" cars. From everything I see, they all seem to still get the treatment as the other kids as far as BMW dealers go (not treated like an illegitimate child). Providing all of the maintenance was accomplished using the vin, are these good deals or headaches? I know trading in is more of the problem, but I will be paying this off in about two years so i'm not terribly concerned about trading.

My 335i that was lemoned in Cali ended up at this dealer. Not sure if they are somehow affiliated with BMWUSA or just likes snatching up lemoned cars at auctions.

I work about 5 minutes from there. I know a couple of people that bought cars there and they didn't say anything bad about them for what thats worth. I test drove a 330i there before I bought my 335i from Atlanta. They are very nice and generous with test driving their cars. They even tried to get me to drive an e46 m3 convertible with smg just because I asked them what an smg was like but I wasn't interested in the car so I didn't. If they are up front with you about a car being lemoned or whatever That sounds honest then it's up to you to decide if that is what you want.

As I posted earlier we had a great experience with this dealership. Seems like they have a lot of HPFP Lemons from California, which is something I am not worried about buying, especially considering most are CPO with Maintenance.

I'm flying out to Donohoo this week to pick up our second purchase this month from them.
