Interior Trim Wrap

Thinking about switching the wood grain out for a 3M carbon fiber wrap. Anybody got a place they've used before and know roughly what the cost is for something like that? I was also contemplating doing it myself since it doesn't seem to be too hard, but wanted to make sure the savings were big enough to not have it done professionally. Any advice helps! Thanks in advance!

I wrapped my own. Wasn't hard but there are parts that won't quite turn out right if you don't know what you are doing. Planning on a rewrap soon. Hope it turns out a little better this time.

Heat gun and patience. I did this as a side job for my llc and had a huge promo for members here until forum admins shut my old account down bc I wasn't a paid sponsor, then wife got preggers so i no longer do it. It's not hard but watch some videos online and don't be afraid to scrap some vinyl to redo sections. Cut slits to reduce stress on curves. All trim pieces can be done without overlays and shouldn't have any wrinkles. Preheat the vinyl and let it cool shrink to the curves

I wrapped my own. It wasn't difficult. I went with black satin and love the way it looks.

I did mine as well. a couple imperfections here and there but hard to notice unless you really looking for them. The Vinyl itself is fairly inexpensive. Just get a piece big enough that you have extra to redo a few pieces if needed. Use a heat gun and patience, don't rush. Start with the flatter pieces to get a feel for it. do the more curved pieces last. Trim pieces fairly simple for the most part. I did mine with a "brushed steel gray" color.

How much vinyl did you guys order/where did you get it? The VVIVID XPO carbon fiber wrap on amazon seems to be really popular, does anybody have any experience with that?

I ordered 5 x 2 feet of wrap for my E90 and it was just enough to get by. I have used metrorestyling to order my vinyl twice now. lots of good options and different brands there. hope this helps!

Thanks 5ft rolls like the above poster. 2 ft of that is normally enough but get more in case you mess up. I use vvivid xpo and I like it. I actually plan to do a full car wrap on my girls jeep with vvivid I think this summer

I used brushed black steel on one custom order. Looks so good. Still have some left I feel like I need to put it on something haha.

Nice! looks good. Mine is very similar just a little lighter than that. I thought a little contrast on the rest of my black interior would look good.

That brushed steel looks really good. This is making me want to rewrap mine now.
