Sadly CCC died, what are my options.

hello,
I normally do not like to post sad topics but my CCC finally died.
looking at my options...
I own the pre CCC where there is no number buttons by the DVD/CD

I took a look at Ebay it looks that all of the ones available have the numbered buttons.

does anyone know if this swap would be a plug n play, as in no coding is required.

the alternative would be to trash the whole system and get CIC, which i am ok with too. does anyone know how much it would cost to have a shop do this?
is there a shop local to chicago that can handle this job.

I welcome all responses and thanks for spending the time to read and chime in.

Hey swapping ccc to cic isn't that difficult of a job to do, just swapping out the unit and screen and getting a new center trim with the new controller. And then coding of course. I am going to be going non idrive to cic next week so your swap is a piece of cake compared to what I'll be doing lol definitely go cic though, I've seen units and screens go for 650-800 range

You also need an adapter/activator so the navigation will work.

you will need code HU for your options and also replace CCC fascia because it is different for CCC with buttons and CIC. Or maybe you are Dremel JEDI and can cut old fascia.
