O-oh...TRW E9x M3 control arms/tension struts no longer available?

FCP shows as backordered, with no ETA. Couple of other vendors I checked show qty in stock as zero.

Hoping these didn't go away for good.

It's probably just like Bilstein B8's. They will come back in eventually

Seeing as how they are replacement/service parts for M3’s and not just aftermarket/upgrade parts for us I feel confident they will be back

Try Amazon, I've seen them there, only slightly more expensive than FCP.

Check offset motorworks. I got mine there for a better price than FCP offered at the time.

This happens more frequently than you think. They were just out of the kits two weeks ago as well. I think they're just not stocking as many sets since the car has aged.

If you already have the m3 control arms, you could possibly just replace the bushings...

I don't have them yet, working out the suspension upgardes I want to do and looked back to FCP to figure out pricing and my budget. I know FCP tends to be a few bucks more than some other sources, but the lifetime warranty is appealing since I plan on keeping this car for quite a while.

I was on the phone with them today 8/8/18 (regarding something else) and as told that they have them in stock for $305 shipped.

I placed an order with Bimmerworld 3 weeks ago and they had everything ready to ship except one of the upper arms. I went ahead and told them to ship what they had, then I purchased the missing arm separately at my dealership. It ended up being $50 more than what it was originally going to cost, but I really didn't want to wait until late August for them to ship.

I was in the same boat as you guys. The kit is basically a convenient way to bundle all the M3 control arms in one simple purchase. If you order each part of the bundle separately, you'll get roughly the same price. BTW I waited a few more weeks and they posted the bundle again and I bought it. Here are the part numbers (https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...e93-bmwmcaktfr). Prices may have changed:

Qty Part SKU Brand Price
1 Suspension Control Arm and Ball Joint Assembly TRW-JTC1426 $75.49
1 Suspension Control Arm and Ball Joint Assembly TRW-JTC1427 $75.49
1 Suspension Control Arm and Ball Joint Assembly TRW-JTC1424 $139.99
1 Suspension Control Arm and Ball Joint Assembly TRW-JTC1423 $74.99
1 Headlight Leveling Sensor Rod BMW-37142283867 $23.26
1 Suspension Control Arm TRW-JTC1430 $108.99
1 Suspension Control Arm TRW-JTC1431 $108.99
1 Suspension Control Arm TRW-JTC1428 $61.09
1 Suspension Control Arm TRW-JTC1429 $61.09
2 ABS Cable Bracket BMW-34522283017 $14.88
2 Hex Nut BMW-07129905817 $3.73

Yes, but they're not all available separately, or in a bundle. The hope is that this is temporary and they'll return.

The "M3" branded parts are still available, it's the "TRW" parts with the M3 logo shaved off that aren't.
