n54 vs n55 intercooler, same?

I hear that they are different. I look at mine and my friend's they look similar.
Maybe, there's hidden piping I don't see that is different.

I heard that the piping is different but you can get the piping and it'll fit the same. some intercoolers you gotta do some cutting anyway.

What about the oil cooler? I am upgrading my fmic and I was told by the shop to get the fmic with larger oil cooler.

Last I checked some have different piping but perhaps there may be an intercooler out their that still bolts right up.

I am looking at getting an n55 ER intercooler, I currently have an n54 coupe.

The dimensions are the same but the piping changed in early 2009 (actually on the N54 models). We sell the extra piping and hardware for the later cars, both N54 and N55.
