Hey OP, what did you use for a pressure tester to find your leak? I need to find one I have. I'm making 15 psi pretty well but anything over that it starts to drop off target. Replaced those lines just in case since it was quick and easy to do but, no luck fixing my issue.

Here are some pics of the boost leak testers I made, credit goes to Sniz and his thread with boost leak test info.

The big one went in the hot side IC connector for my AMS IC (just like Sniz). The small one will fit the stock IC.

Some improvements can be made on these by gluing a short section of pipe to each one as it's quite difficult to get the cap inside the IC connector that is the same diameter. The pipe would be slightly smaller to fit inside the cap and also fit much better inside the IC connector. Not sure how the glue would hold, a better option would be to get a threaded cap and then put in a pipe that is threaded on one end and smooth on the other, then no glue is needed. I don't know if such a thing exists though.

My leak:

+1 on the sticky! My break was essentially the same, the line split right off the connector. I was about to break down and take her to a shop until I read this. I replaced the line with some hose I had from my SR20 build 6 years ago. Back to 9.0 psi between stop lights.

Hoarding and E90Post FTW!

Wow, the way those hoses just snug around the oil filter housing is just asking for failure to happen. +1 on sticky

1 sticky this is very common. Rob and shiv discovered this on my car as well. Such a simple easy fix. This can help people save a lot of money.

By the way, anyone know what is the wire/hose directly to the left of the red arrow in the first pic? While inspecting my car for leak, I notice that particular hose is becoming brittle.

Great job OP.
I would remember everyone that when you remove oem airbox (eg. installing new dcis/afe/else), you need to remove vacuum line (blue arrow)... Be sure to reassemble it perfectly.

Which intake did you install? What parts were involved? Let's start troubleshooting.

anyone have an idea other than a dealership where I can buy by the foot the same vacuum line used by BMW? I found it on realoem, but I don't want to pay the BMW tax on it. I don't want the dealership causing me grief when they see a non OEM hose on the car.

Can you be more specific on "reassembling it perfectly"? My car is overboosting after having IC, DCI, exhaust, downpipes and stg 2 flash installed. I'm taking it in the shop but will check this blue arrow tonight when i'm home. I had the shope install all the parts...i'm wondering if I have a leak in and around this area??? My car has 49k miles on it.
