2006 e90 starts with crankshaft position disconnected
Hi,
I have a peculiar situation on my 2006 e90. the car would start with the crankshaft position sensor disconnected and give the error 2A94 - Crankshaft sensor signal. When I connect the Crankshaft sensor, the engine turns over but does not start, When tghis happens, no error code is given. I have gone through four different sensor including VDO and BMW sensors. Has anybody experienced this? |

I have not seen the problem but check the connector.

Hi techwiz,
Thank you for your response. I have checked the connector and I have got the reference values for the wires. The trick here is that the car starts with the sensor disconnected. This is what I an trying to understand. |
