No vehicle changes that I know of. Only in the housekeeping tasks - the way it handles on the dealer systems. No new service bulletins since Aprils' release of v25.01.00

Yes, I'm curious about this too. I just dropped my car off today for the update and thinking I need to know what that lastest update should be.

Regardless of what CIP that may call it (and they may be up to 27.xx.xx) the Target data Status should be E89x-07-03-525. All the changes made to vehicle were last included in the SIB for 25.01.00, posted elsewhere on the board. That was released WAY back in April.

Okay thanks. Maybe a dumb question, but does that mean that if they do update your progman, they will always update you with the lastest and greatest?

Yes, If you are upgraded then it is a complete upgrade to the entire car with the latest version. In this case do not expect any differences to a person that got the then latest back in May as nothing in car has changed. Any changes that occured in the intervening months was to make the upgrade PROCESS work better at the dealer.

Cobradac,
How can you tell which version is on yours Idrive ? Mine was in for service last week and I noticed the color of front screen now had a different color compare to previous, and the new sofeware allow me to search on POI by name cool feature. Plus evertime you started the car the menu remembered to go back to last menu the dealer must have done some kind of upgrade on my Idrive. Thanks

my car was in for some servicing this week
picked it up today with an idrive upgrade the main screen is now based on silver/gray instead of brown haven't really played with it much, but IMO the older idrive color scheme looked a bit better (with my black leather/wood trim) another change i noticed is that when you assign "change audio source" to the steering wheel button, the old version of idrive went from [FM > AM > CD] ... and back to FM, skipping AUX this one goes from [FM > AM > CD > AUX] this new version seems like it would go well with a brushed metal interior trim |

If it were a choice of brown and iDrive crashes vs. silver and no crashes, well, it's a no-brainer. And I agree ithe brown went better with the wood trim but give it some time. It'll grow on you.

In the future you need to ask the service folks for copies of any test, reports, plans, etc, as you turn car in to be provided to you when you pick up the car. In that way you have a record and we can really pinpoint what has been down to your car. |
