BMW Fault Codes - DPF?

Got these fault codes on my evolve box as the car is not outputting full power past 3000 rpm.

I think I may have a clogged DPF, anyone have any other ideas?

Car is driven spiritedly at all times outside towns and does plenty of motorway miles.
Took it to a friend whos a mechanic, he got the advice to put a special fluid through the car which should have sorted the problem, which initially it did.
However 200 miles later and the particulate filter warning popped up again and the car has little power after 3000rpm.
Im thinking the EGR Stat may be knackered also...just a hunch.

Any advice to save me a few £?

Check your engine temp. If your thermostat is knackered you want get over 80c. This will cause your engine to over fuel, which can cause dpf problems. Have seen a drop in mpg as well. Also this wont throw up any errors codes

It's a bit of a pain in the arse really, of the top of my head you need to

Press and hold the mileage/trip reset button while inserting your key fob.

You need to add up the last 5 digits of your vin No. to give you a code No.

Press the mileage/trip button until you reach menu 19, it will say lock on.

Then press the mileage/trip button to put in your code No.

You will then be sent back to the first menu, press the mileage/trip button until you reach menu 7. This is where you will find the engine temp.

Try it after a nice long run, mine shows 90c. I'm sure someone on here will have a link to some better insructions, like I said this is just of the top of my head

it's longish and the guy is American

but any Scanner will give you the engine coolant temperature, (ECT on my Foxwell)

Bloody ridiculous that there is no engine coolant temperature gauge on a car at this price level

FPO - Regen wont work, what mileage have you got on the motor?

Regen works for burning off the Soot caught by the DPF, But the by product of Soot is Carbon. Carbon cannot be burnt or cleaned with special fluid. You'll need to remove the DPF and send it away for a deep clean. Or if your brave enough have a big container and soak it in acid over night and wash it out the next day.

I've gone through our pain, it can be resolved quickly and not to costly either. Whilst your at it change the Thermostat is fairly easy to do!

Hope this helps...gimmie a shout if you need further info or help.

Cannot help really - my car has only done 34,000 miles - standard specs, i.e. no remaps or similar - tail pipes always look like a diesel, i.e. dark ........I have a look at when Foxwell says the last Regen was done - my ECT runs at about 89 degrees - but it's cold these days.
All Foxwell has thrown up is that No 2 glow plugs is failing - which I plan to do in the summer - I will only do about 5,000 to 6,000 miles pa in the car

yeh tail pipes should really be clean,,last owner had probs ec and changed glow plugs/stats etc...

i vuess id have a warning if it were clogging,,but says on foxwell it has 242000 km before dpf needs changed and 97% life or whatever..i just need to have a play more with foxwell to become familiar in using it.also is the last regen in metres yeh?
