$369/month...330i lease deal.

That's right, I heard a radio commercial last night for PACE BMW in Mamamorneck, NY stating these terms. I was wondering if anyone had leased their car from PACE and received these terms? $369/month for a 330i sounds like a sweet deal. But I'm sure a hefty down payment is required. I think the offer ends at the end of February.

BTW-I'm sorry for the re-post, but I thought I would get a better response in this thread then the dealership thread.

Typical BMW dealer "ad car"...

My guess:

24 month lease, 10,000 miles per year. Somewhere between $3000-4000 cap cost reduction plus fees due at signing, taxes extra. Advertised car is the "base" 330i-- 6-speed, non-metallic paint, leatherette interior, and no options. They probably don't have this car available and you'd have to order. Maybe it's a base car with heated seats and sat prep, which they might have available.

BMW has a very strong 24 month lease program on the 3-series right now, so a car with a cheap MSRP and a decent cap cost reduction will have a very attractive payment.

i can sell you a ferrari for 369 per month also. you just have to put down 150,000 dollars at signing.

If they leased you stripped 330i with zero down, no options, no dealer profit, and the base money factor and $625 acquisition fee...the payment for 24 months/10K miles would be $409/month. (assumes 8% sales tax) So there is not only a buyer contribution to get the payment down to $369...there is a buyer contribution for the dealer profit...whatever that may be. And by buyer contribution I mean cap reduction...same thing. I'll bet the $369 didn't include sales tax.

The big question is: who's going to order a red/jet/alpine 330i with NO options?

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of deal did you get from PACE? Unless my ears were clogged, the 330i deal I heard had the same numbers that I stated and they also advertized the car with leather. But like everyone said, a HUGE down is probably required.

I just wish that everyone considering leasing understood that the "down payment" is only paying more of your "rent" up front! you are not changing the selling price (which is negotiable) or the purchase price at lease end(which is set by the manufacturer and is not negotiable). Find out the current money factor (intrest rate) set by BMWFNA and hold the dealer to that rate, pay "drive offs" only (first months lease, security deposit (if any) and bank fees.) keep the "down payment" money and enjoy your new E90.

You seem to be implying that's a bad thing?

If you don't do a down payment you're going to end up paying the money anyway, except you're also going to be paying the interest. So if you have the possibility of doing a down payment, I'd go for it.

Until the car gets stolen or totalled, and you lose everything you put down. It's money you will never see again. You don't put down money at a car rental agency to get a slightly lower rate do you? It's the same deal in a lease.

It is a "BAD" thing 1) the intrest % stays the same 2) in USA & Canada you pay tax on the "down payment" (cap reduction) 3) If you cannot complete the lease, the "down payment" is lost (remmember it is applied toward the "rent" not the value of the vehicle (residual) at lease end. check the following link for info http://www.leaseguide.com/index2.htm
