The 65129350505 with most doesn't seem like they had a USB connector? Correct me if I was wrong. I actually don't know what the pink connect is for

If that is true what is the latest P/N for Most Connector + USB US version?

Anyone who can chime in to confirm the pink connector is for? and why the 65129350505 support the 6FL (USB function) but doesn't have the white usb connector in the back?

pink connector is for sirius antenna
if it do not have white usb connector then usb function was made thru mulf2high or combox unit which send audio signals via MOST bus to radio

Hello, thanks a lot! that's said if I have the usb plug in center console, does that mean I have to run the usb cable connector from center console to the truck instead of running to HU?

Do you know which port should I plug into? it seams like all port are already plugged for something else

mulf module installed UNDER TCU on other side of the bracket
or, you may upgrade TCU to COMBOX then you'll have everything in one module

Ahh...many thanks. I think I can not upgrade to COMBOX due to I do not have iDrive if that is correct. I think the best choice to stream the music through my iPhone is looking for this unit without extra retrofit ? 65129343204

this unit would not allow you to stream music via bluetooth, it is do not support such bluetooth profile, only via usb cable
you need to retrofit mulf2high module and tune2air converter or some aftermarket solution for bluetooth streaming
i can supply full mulf2high retrofit parts to you

Even without iDrive, the MULF2high TCU swap can use not only USB but also bluetooth play music from iPhone? Correct me if I was wrong I thought bluetooth streaming only works with iDrive.

If that is true. I am going to swap my TCU with MULF2high. (My car does not come with MULF when I checked today)

Awesome thread! I read it, but I'm a little confused for the coding part.

My car is E92 325i 09/2006 without iDrive. It has a Professional unit but no USB or Bluetooth, just AUX. The speakers setup is the base one, so no tweeters, no Amp (Crappy sound, I know).
I decided to swap the HU with one that has USB and Bluetooth integrated in it. It's from a much newer car I guess. Part number is 64129243919-01. I also got the mic with the cable and the USB socket. The seller asked me for my VIN so he can code the HU specifically for my car before sending it. It will arrive in a few days.
The question is do I need additional coding for the car itself or (if done correctly), the HU coding will be enough and I just have to swap the HU and attach the cables?

To answer to my own question - It turns out that the seller coded the HU perfectly, so I just plugged in and everything just worked - usb, aux, bluetooth, new gongs, english voice, etc.

Apparently the HU can be coded for the car without been installed in the car.

I have 2008 e88 with harman kardon professional and want to get a unit with built in bluetooth, pre-coded like you have. Where did you order yours?

Head Unit Coding

I have recently installed an updated professional radio with BT and USB in my 2008 E87.
Everything worked without coding, but I wanted to change the voice from German to English so carried out coding using NCS Expert by adding #0311, $6FL and $6NN to the VO.
SG_CODIEREN failed for the RAD2 ECU, but changing job to SG_RESET was successful and the voice is now English and there is also an additional item on the display called PARKED.
The problem now is that the gong and PDC sounds only work when the radio audio is ON. Is this normal for the later Head Units?

USB Only

Hello,

Great vid. I am looking to install USB only to my Professional HU, do I only require the below?

61119129360 x1 -> Coaxial fakra wire for USB
84109237653 x1 -> USB/Aux Socket

Is the process as simple as plugging these in and then coding the HU? Please can you advise how to code the HU (if required)?

Cheers in advance!

Hi guys, please help!
I have pin 1 of the mic to pin one of pin 1(B) on the head unit and pin 2 of the mic to pin 6(B) of the Head unit. I'm still not any response from the mic? any ideas?
Does it need coding? Thanks.

It is ok 1 mic -1 HU and 2 mic - 6 HU.
The problem is the pins of wires who comes from the mic that are too shorts.
Please try to push the pins directly to socket and should be work without problem. If works, change the pins with another 2 little longer who "dress" 100% the pins of HU and insert it finally in the white socket (see picture).
I solved the problem in few minutes. No coding is necessary for this!
Good luck!

Can you tell me the part number on your head unit/radio? Then I can be sure it's the same pin position

Hi there, bit of a blast from the past, but you seem to be the guys ( a few years ago ) to go to for advice re bluetooth headunits. My car is a 2007 e92 with professional head unit, bluetooth and voice activation all from factory. All working except my stereo screen is awful. I kept my eye out on gumtree and found a bargain! A bluetooth / usb built in head unit from a 2011 car for £10 😂. Ive fitted it, everything works, except my microphone on the bluetooth calling and voice activation ( no coding so far ). I bought a loom from china with microphone, which i have plugged into the rear of the headunit into the multiblock connector where suggested, but still nothing. I mounted this up in the headlining the other side to my original microphone from the mulf in the car. Can you think of anything why this isnt working? And how I can rectify it? I can pair phone, make calls, just the mics are not functioning. Any advice greatly appreciated.
