Well for the N54 I think it was a little over two years ago. But he is probably referring to the burble on the stock 335is tune.

Think he meant that the 335is already has burbles and therefore years of usage.

My car burbles stock you nimrods. MHD has been out for years. The 335 isn't very reliable if you leave it stock, much less if you turn up the wick. Don't modify it and expect better results than if you left it alone. You guys are goofballs to say the least. Lol

Well, I agree on the burbles not being detrimental to the car. But my 2011 335i has around 86k on it now and I haven't had anything fail except the coolant reservoir.

I'm N55 by the way.
Which year is your n55 ?
I did a custom mhd tune with the burble feature but it doesn’t pop like the ppk did.
Did it time to get louder ?

You can adjust the "aggressiveness" of the burble in MHD in the Beta version and it can be made stupid loud, not sure when it will release on the normal version. I have mine set to soft and it is a tad more aggressive than it was on the PPK tune.

I had mine turned on on aggressive for a long time, earlier this year I turned it off and the difference in driving was big. Deceleration was much smoother and overall shifting was smoother with less drive train vibrations.

I tried it again a few weeks ago and noticed "hard" is the most aggressive you can go now, so they removed the setting above that. Instantly noticed the deceleration bog and after keeping it for a few days, noticed my oil level drop. My oil level never dropped with the burble off.

Turned it off again and topped up the oil, its been at the same level for a few weeks.

Burbble defiantly makes no difference on how my car performs. It will not hurt anything.
All manufactures have a car in there fleet that has it built in.

You should hear my bosses new bone stock AMG GLE, puts mine to shame in the burble department.

Same, I have 1.3 second duration for regular driving and 1.5 secs with sport under medium. No oil issues. I have new downpipes on the way so it should be a bit louder once installed.

Yeah it doesn't make any sense but that's what I've experienced. I have cat-less DP's too

I mean mechanically it makes no sense for overrun (burble) to effect the oil level, . It's not magic. And I have no clue what "deceleration bog" is,

When you let off the throttle the car kind of hangs, don't really know how to explain it

Burble tunes are the second dumbest tuning mod ever - just behind "tuning" the fake exhaust noises on newer BMWs.

Yeah it is dumb but it sounds cool and with an auto it can be loud when I want to be and quite when I want it to be.

Burble is the engine throwing unburnt fuel into the exhaust. It combusts in the hot pipes and makes a cool sound. Some will tell you it could combust in the turbos and damage them. The more relevant question here is how well implemented is the MHD mod. People keep bringing up OEMs that do factory burble but thats not the same as modifying a car to burble. If you tried it both ways and you think your car runs better without it why would you take the word of someone on the internet over what you can actually experience for yourself?

Justin from Twisted and Marshal (MHD himself) have explained this, they use the same tables as the PPK. I assume MHD's programming just adjusts that table but I am no programmer. But they have gone over this and I trust Justin and Marshal.
