The SD schedule web site is back up, but the schedule is dated the 17th. It is kind of old. We will have to see if they update it tomorrow.

I don't know the official reason. It could be because the SL is a convertible and people want them for the summer months. Through the years, the date probably got pushed further and further back. I know MB is under a lot of pressure to get this '09 out right now because people are getting antsy for the summer. It's not a lot of fun to have a convertible in the winter months (although I still manage it most any day of the year. )

Nothing new to report... no sign of the Hojin on AIS, and PH schedule still shows an April 26 dock date.

Both customs and VPC are closed on the weekends. They will unload the ship, though. So, everything will really start to happen on Monday.

Hojin is due into the port of San Diego at 8 a.m. San Diego has a great web camera for their autoport. Here is the link:

http://www.sdmis.org/view/allcams.phtml

It is the 24th Street Terminal camera. If you look at it now, you can barely make out the port lot filled with new cars. It should be a great view of Hojin in the morning.

Thanks spn! Thanks to Appropriate as well! Great to see her on a map again. It is going to be tough having my car so close to me yet so far away in time. I might go down to the port just to gaze at the ship. Any idea how long she will stay in San Diego?

It would be great if you could go down to port. I have seen some awesome SD port pics of these ships docked. You can get fairly close to them. She should be in SD all morning and part of the afternoon. She is due into the port of LA at 2 am Saturday (so very late tonight).

Here she is coming up the coast toward SD.

AIS hasn't updated in two hours, but she should be moving along towards SD. Keep an eye on the web cam at the dock.

You can now track Hojin live at www.shinemicro.com. She is showing up on their AIS. You will have to sign up for a free subscription and go to the southern CA overview. Hojin is showing at the bottom of the screen. This is "live" data for ship positions. Hojin's MMSI number is 576151000.

I am not home and can't check shinemicro. Last I saw, about 30 min ago, she was getting fairly close to SD harbor. Maybe she will be on the web cam in an hour. She will be there for several hours once she shows up.

Yes. It looks like there is some new activity down there. Some trucks have shown up. I think they are getting ready for her arrival. It will be fun to watch. The last time I watched this web cam, it use to pan 180 degrees, so you could see what was going on in the entire bay, but luck isn't with us that way today.

This is kind of a funky web site, but here's a nice web cam of the bay. We should see her pull in.

I think this might be a different part of the bay and may not be helpful.
