Thinking of selling instead of trading in...opinions

I got a 2006 330i with zsp, zpp, zcp. Blk on blk. with a/t

26,409 miles to date.

Was wondering what I could get for it on a private sale. Obviously dealers will be trying to screw me so I am thinking of just selling it outright.

i would expect to get inbetween private party value and trade-in value on KBB normally but...

BMW of Seattle just sent me an email saying they need my car due to high demand for pre-owned BMWs and that they would pay "top market prices".
Might be worth checking out to see what they actually offer, if you'll be buying another car don't forget to factor in the tax benefit to trading in and then see if you can actually make more money beyond that if you take on the hassle of a private sale.

Good luck!

Dealer will offer lower than Galves/auction price.
I'll say Edmuds is under and KBB is dead on for used car by private party.
The other thing is to hang out at craigslist.org to check the going rate for similar cars. I sold my B5 Audi a month ago for asking price based of KBB on craigslist, first day.

Good luck.
