Needing Advice and opinions please
Hello all,
Hope everyone is keeping well with all the snow etc. After getting rid of my BMW and getting the house, Jade and I have been talking about trading her car(Beetle vert) in for a VW Tiguan. Why a VW Tiguan..... Space - dog - kids (maybe in a few years) - transporting (jade owns a clothes store) 4x4 - Snow Holidays - With having a house now we will be spending more time in england. So has anyone had one of these or had any experience with one ? Thanks in advance

They get good reviews - before you jump in and buy, there are tons of lease deals around at the moment on the pretty well spec's 2.0d 140bhp Match or the 1.4Tsi 150ps Petrol.
All about £250 ish +vat 3+23 deals or £225 ish 6+23 Seems great value and has climate, bluetooth, F+R parking, etc... If you do consider a lease be sure to contact Matt at Park Vehicle Contracts - he is based at Ventura Park VW and he sorted the missus' Passat CC GT - he gave us the best price around and the service was impeccable! We would have had to chuck in about £5000 to get the same monthly repayment that the lease has offered. In fact I have just spotted I am the first testimonial on their new website!! http://www.parkvehicles.co.uk/volksw...-PM/?ito=VW001 |

Hi thanks for the link, that's one thing I've never looked into is leasing a car. I've been looking around and seeing them crop up for around 18k for an ok one. I would be looking to get one around march time after the bad weather and ready for people wanting convertibles as she has the beetle.
We would be trading the beetle in... Hoping 2 get around 5k + cash so I don't know if the lease would be the right thing 2 do. The idea was 2 keep the car around 5 years also.... That's the bigger picture of things, do you think lease could still work under those conditions ? Thanks

I think you would need to order now for delivery in March Thats working on 3 payments at £300 and then another 23 at £300 (£250+vat) Then pretty well zero outgoings - car under warranty, tyres new so not needed for ages, road tax included - just insure and chuck fuel in. Don't know what your mileage is though, these really only work well for 10k per year or less drivers. |

I had in mind around march time I would be able 2 pick one up or around 18k, borrow 10k over 3/5 years making it 200/300 a month and the car would be mind but I wouldn't know what the resale value would be....
The way you guys are talking there obv would be a ballon payment at the end or does that value get taken away from the value of the car and I get left with a start on a deposit for the next car ?

Just remember the trouble with a lease is they are quite inflexible to get out of early if needs be. Better off with a PCP, which would be similar cost, or lease purchase, as these both offer better flexibility. However if you know you are going to be in for the term, then there are quite a few 'manufacturers supported' leases that make sense. No good for me as I swap cars so frequently - 7 in the last 3/4 years, but I'm in the right trade to do it!
