I just had the joy of reattaching my headlamp washer nozzle and cover in 20 degree weather... I can't feel fingers typing on the keyboard at the moment.
So knowing that this could be an issue, I went to my local advance auto to get some low-temp fluid. Filled, turned on the washers...walk around..drivers side is stuck open and passenger side nozzle is on the ground. Awesome. Anyhow, if this happens to you anyone, defrost by pouring some luke-warm water, separate the cover from the nozzle and insert the nozzle into the housing until it clicks. Pull the nozzle out and reattach the cover (tilt the cover and twist it on the prongs).

Wish I didn't have them, it just makes a mess. I've used them maybe one day, driving 75 miles through blizzard conditions. And every time my car is clean and I forget to put the lights to "off" before spraying the windshield, it makes me mad.

The headlight washers also drain the tank pretty quickly. I was surprised. |

You can disable them by pulling the fuse behind the glove box.. There's a DIY....in the DIY section.

I use the low temp stuff all year round and have never had any problems with the headlight washers freezing.

I removed mine when I put the new bumper on, more of a pita than anything. I still have all my parts in case I decide to go back to stock, but now I get no mist on a freshly washed (Jet Black) car when I need to wash my windshield!
I hate those things!

Last winter I hit a pothole so bad the hoses disconnected/cracked from the washers and fluid leaked everywhere!!
How do you even turn them on? Do they spray with the windshield wipers? lol I don't even use them... |

Just be sure when you change from the summer washer fluid to the winter formula, bring your car by the dealer so they can register the new fluid with the computer. If you run the winter fluid with the summer program, it can confuse the wiper stability control. (unless, of course, you upgraded to a limited-slip wiper differential)
Whatever you do, don't run winter wiper fluid and summer blinker fluid at the same time. It will void your warranty, trust me. [Sorry, couldn't resist... but I can see this all being true in 2016 with the way these cars are going]
