Replace wing or respray?

Hi,

so at some point in my cars life it has had a replacement front wing, you can tell this by the inside of the wing being pretty half assed and by comparing to the other sides inside.
the colour match is perfect but the quality of the paint job is obviously poor and its not showing its ugly head.

To me this wing needs to be replaced, unless you think this can be fixed with a respray? although it would need media blasting to ensure it was rust free ect...

if i did get a replacement is it worth getting another pattern wing (fit is fine)and having it resprayed to a high standard, or am i better off getting a used BMW OE wing?

Or if i can find one, a new BMW wing and having that sprayed well but obviously the cost would be a lot higher, to be honest the quality of the pattern (i'm guessing its a pattern wind here, will have a better look for a makers sticker) is great, its the paint job, poor prep etc letting it down.

thoughts and advice and costs if know?
it really lets the car down and i'm quite particular about it looking shiny!

I would have a look on Ebay for either a used wing in excellent condition and same colour. I've also seen Ebay sellers with Non Oem wings for sale which are pre painted.

As above, might save you a respray then too.

Definitely replace it.

So as above keep an eye on eBay for a used wing. Even if you have to spray it at least you’re starting off with a better base.

Cheers guys, I’ve had a look but most seem fooked, just waiting on a good one to turn up!

I did see the painted panels on eBay new but was worried about colour match

Cheers guys I know once the weather is dryer it will anouy me no end as it’s quickly covered at the minute with this crap weather.

I did wonder if that maybe the plastic shield has been out on slightly too far inboard leaving it open to stone chips

The std wings have a thick stone chip on the lip, maybe if yours is a replacement it was just painted?, so probably wouldn’t last long before chipping and rust setting in......
