I have had the GP Thunders in and out a few times now for one reason or another and found an easier way to change them.

Obviously take the orig bulb out, fit the new bulb on the connector and pass the bulb tip first into the access area and then feed the tip into the hole.

The trick is to kneel on the floor infront of the car and look into the headlamp, you will see the three slots that are waiting to accept the bulb.

With your hand twisting the bulb you can easily see the three metal tabs on the bulb when they are aligned, then just twist the bulb holder and watch the tabs lock into place.

Please excuse the quality of the pics, the camera had its own idea of what to focus on

Thanks for the good tips. I'll try that the next time I have to change them out.

wow! got my gp thunders today - that was quick delivery from USA - Cheers electronicwoot!!

am hoping to get them installed tonight. is it possible to install them without touching the bulb or should i wear fine gloves?

p.s. am so delighted with the service from electronicwoot - i just can't get over how quickly they arrived - it was the topic of discussion over dinner this evening!
i'm encouraged to buy more from usa now! especially with the $/£ exchange rate!

There's a small black plastic cover you can easily remove to gain access to the bulbs. Slide a screwdriver under the black plastic clips to release the cover - you will then see all the bulbs.

2 bulbs is all you need for the angels

Hi BF, I ordered a set of D1S 6000K bulbs from this guy.

Ebay Item

Make an offer of €100 and he should take it. I tried less with no luck.

You will have them delivered for €112 to the UK.

Cheers buddy! Great advice!

What do you think of the 6000k bulbs? Do they complement the GP Thunders nicely?

I had 8000k on my E90 but they were too blue really while I think 6000k will be a better balance... would welcome your thoughts
