I had a call whilst on holiday to say that my Barclaycard had been used fraudulently. The b*****s also had my mobile phone number and had access to my online credit card account and had changed my address. They ordered loads of stuff from Empire direct and other online retailers (all UK), I was very pleased that the banks (barclays and HSBC) fraud detection systems were working effectively. However, it left me in a position where I had no Credit Card in the US with hotels/hire cars to pay for. It is disgusting that the police consider this type of crime beneath them to investigate. Hats of to Barclaycard though, they messaged me whilst abroad and have repaid all my phone calls to them from my US hotel. Once I get the fraud forms they will repay all of the fraudulent transactions without question.

For the life of me I do not know where my CC details (and phone number ) were stolen from. I don't use ATMs with my card and I am very careful not to let it out of my sight. I can only think that it must be from using my card online.
