Question about AW
Hi all,
As I've ordered a 335i e93, I still have chance to change color, basically, I am choosing between AW and Sparkling Graphite. 1st choice is AW but I am concerning of after maybe 1 to 2 years, will the white color become yellowish? Can any brother who has driven a AW color with 1 to 2 years tell me your experiences, thanks

My '06 E90 was AW and was just about 2 years old when I traded it for the '07. I never had any problem at all with the color. I have also seen many E46's in AW with no issues.

The paint shouldn't become yellow AFAIK. Any perception of "yellow" would probably just be surface dirt/grime. A good paint detail job should bring back the luster without any probs.
BTW... see this thread for an AW coupe with CSLs: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64547

I think when car makers first started using clear coat layers, they would yellow over time. This would be much more apparent on a white undercoating, and was probably responsible for a lot of that in older cars. Today's clear coats are much better, and properly maintained will not yellow - at least not for a very long time.
Actually, if you look closely enough at a AW E9x you can see that the plastic body parts are a slightly different color temperature than the metal parts... at the right angle and light. With this as a choice, why would you consider any other choice!

This was the same predicament I was in when choosing. I went with AW and have no regrets at all. Both are tight colors...I don't think u can go wrong with either one.
