ERG coolant hose cracked
I pulled into the garage today, and had white smoke coming from the hood. I let it cool a bit, and took the engine cover off. Found black, non-oily, liquid sprayed to the driver side. Carbon black, but no smell; water only.
The ERG coolant hose is cracked/melted. Seems like a easy enough fix. Looking to see if I should replace anything else? Its a 2010 with 128k miles. Part # 11537795136 if I'm reading this diagram right? http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=11_3878 Last edited by Col Mustard; 04-19-2019 at 12:29 AM.. Reason: part # |

I had the exact same failure two years back. Mine actually opened up to where coolant had been splashing out into the engine bay. Simple enough fix fortunately.
I didn't replace any other lines as everything else seemed fine. Didnt have any other issues up until I did my deletes. |

I'm hoping its just a simple matter of replacing the hose, and filling up the coolant res.
Heading to the junk yard this morning. |
