N52 injectors

Looking through some cars on Auto Trader tonight and saw an e91 330i n52 80k miles and in the advert it said that all injectors had just been replaced by bmw at a cost of £1900 ! is this something i need to budget for when buying a n52 engined car ? I know the n53 has a recall on the injectors but not sure if the n52 has problems in particular with them ? Also what would roughly be the cost of a indy garage replacing all injectors or is it an easy enough job to DIY ?

If the injectors have just been done they should be good for 80K+ miles or more. Injectors are about £120 each, so with labour an indy should be able to do all six for about £1K I guess. But he will need the requisite software to code them in.

Or you could invest in a decent warranty...

OP said the the AD say it has been done at BMW which cost £1900.

The injectors i was quote by BMW dealer was something like 180 + vat each.6 would cost £1300, plus labour??

I can see bmw charging couple 0.5 hour each to fit them. So i say 3 hours of £100 plus VAT =£390 so a £1600 + bill is very likely since they are called stealers for a reason.

Ofcourse indy would be much cheaper
