Really wasn't sure whether or not to go with this bit at the time but glad I did now. I've never seen one with a champagne radio surround before so thought it might be worth keeping for its rare factor, but decided last minute to get it done as well

Haven't actually seen it on a black interior so can't say either way, but it definitely wasn't my cup of tea with the cream interior! My dad liked it though haha

When you say rare, how rare are we talking?
You cheeky little whippersnapper..I'll bend you over my knee......lol

You certainly don't see Dark Poplar much at all, and the Americans seem to go absolutely crazy for it!

Haha sorry mate, couldn't resist :P Oh really? If I'd known that I would have put it up on the american boards for sale and bought the silver / aluminium one to get refinished instead (anyone with silver please don't take offence like this man haha)

Few more pics to show the colour:

And one it with the old car before it left:

Awsome! Love Velvet Blue. And the Piano Black trim is a huge improvement over the wood trim

So the second thing on the bucket list was the yellow rings in the lights. Decided to change the stock ones for Gen 2 SuperWhite LED Angel Eye Ring Markers from Teddy at SSDD. Massive improvement over the original ones and think it definitely helps the look of the front of the car. Excuse the picture quality, back to using my old phone for a few weeks.

Looks very nice mate.
Care to share who refinished your trim? Looking to get the same thing done on mine.

Yeah not a problem. I got it done by Shadys Carbon (link below). They do it through a main BMW dealer paint technician and the quality of it would suggest that is true

Another thing bugging me was the lack of tint on the rear windows. After coming from a car with a pretty dark tint on the back it seemed like every car behind me had their full beams on!! Got onto this a few weeks ago and got the car booked into Carnology in Bangor to get the back 3 windows tinted with medium film. Couldn't recommend them enough!!

I decided on Thursday past that enough was enough in terms of the brake hubs and callipers, I had the day off and as they were in pretty bad shape I decided to spend the day getting them tidied up. The car was booked in for a detail on Saturday so wanted to get them done before then. Went with silver for the minute although have something different planned for them in the next month or two

Before

After

And finally my LCI rear lights and wiring adapters arrived on Friday so managed to get the car booked in to get them installed and coded on Saturday morning. Once the lights were in I dropped it over for its detail... was in serious need of a good polish as it was covered in buffer trails, i can only presume from SSC as they had "valeted it" before I picked it up.
Absolutely love the result of the new lights, I'm still amazed how much it changes the look of the rear of the car!!

After

Just remembering, I've added 12mm spacers all round since updating this threat last too. There was a little rubbing of the back right arch but thankfully it seems to have stopped unless I have a full car. Will probably look to getting the arches rolled at some stage soon though

Beautiful car, love love love the colour.
The tint is a huge improvement!
Also, in my opinion, there is a very good reason that wood trim is rare Good call on the piano black!
Are black grilles on the cards? And perhaps new wheels?
