Pleased that you're enjoying the new car Makkan, she looks a beauty! I made a similar move to you, e91 320d MSport to an f11 MSport. Agree with everything you've posted. Great car great refinement, great fuel consumption and pretty decent performance for a 2L diesel.

Will be keeping an eye out to see how your modding comes along.

Jase, driving one with sport transmission make all the difference when you want the car to accelerate quickly.

Many thanks Craig. Glad to hear that you are enjoying your F11 as well.

Ok, adding few bits into list
- Car has stereo mic (two microphones). So the person on the other side of phone will get bit better reception.
- I am actually enjoying SE suspension on 520d. It is very comfortable and car still feels solid.
- I think suspension can benefit from some tweaking from the stability perspective.
- Also bigger wheels will make the car more stable however mpg will likely to suffer.
- Sport plus mode activate DTC so car pulls better on straight lines with less lateral stability.

Also, xenon retrofit is easy (after market one). You get projector headlights and jet washers are already there.
You need to find canbus free HID kit to start with. This is what I will do till I find reasonably priced F10 xenons. At the moment a pair cost approx £1000.

Positive you have washers? Mate has a halogen F10 and although it looks like there are the cut-outs for the washers in the bumper, they're just blanks.

Funny you saying that.
When I was looking at 2010 cars, none of them had headlight cleaning system.
This was the first 2011 where I decoded the specs and I had everything which I wanted. It defo has headlight cleaning system. I thought that bmw may have made it complimentary on 2011 onward cars (with halogen headlights) so never paid attention as I was getting them. Perhaps, previous owner ticked that additional option.

Luckily I have them so good for xenon conversion.

Nice Car Sam. I had a fully loaded F10 530d SE a couple of years ago. I found it too big & sold it. I really wish I'd kept it now as it was a fantastic car, it even had the self parking function.

The cabin quality is a real step up from a 3 series and the road noise is non-existent.

The 8 speed box is a beauty, my F20 has the same box & it runs rings round the ZF 6 speed in my E90 - That would be a retrofit to do!

What about the necessary auto-levelling? Is that a fairly straightforward retrofit too?

Hope you are enjoying your new F series. Defo 8 speed gearbox is the winner.

I actually like big cars. Though I miss the massive torque kick which I used to get from 330d.
I look forward to your 8 speed box retrofit in E90

Not bothered about that at the moment unless it is MOT failure.
It is not a lot and just adding two sensors, running wires to light module and coding the light module to tell that we have xenon retrofit.

I did not install sensors on my E90 when I did xenon retrofit. Without them xenon stays at minimum height.

Thanks. How is your 335i coming along? Any mods planned?

Lol usual way no mods planned and already started. Its a great car and have put on some good options

But its already started. Black Exhaust tips and new indicators to get rid of the orange look. Already coded the 2015.1 maps and now just need to get around coding.

Going forward not sure. Maybe a front splitter. Not doing the rear spoiler as do like the clean look this time round. Winters getting fitted tomorrow if I get time and that's it.

I love that colour on F30. Best colour IMHO.
Mods seems subtle and decent enough. Not a lot of coding to be done on F10. not sure about F30 how much you can explore.

Need some photos of the car on this forum...

Just started to code the F30 has a lot of options and I think its the case for all the F cars. Weirdest thing for me is that the coding cable now is just ethernet, no more usb and serial ports. Very quick as well coded few things this evening just case of getting your head around as tons of options. There are some good guides and crib sheets on the coding section of F30 forum

Weather has not been kind on the shiny paintwork but heres one from pickup day

Progress:
Xenon kit installed.
Collecting car today after body work finished.
20 inch wheels will be on today.

Exhuast being done next week.

And then lowering springs.

Can anybody suggest a garage who can sort out springs on F10 in Essex?

I think somebody put ebay link of that car on one of my post earlier...

Differences to his and my car
- He has gone for M5 side fenders and M5 replica wheels. I kept standard side fenders as I am do not want to fool people that its M5. Also, I did not like M4 / M5/ M6 wheels so opted for 20 inch Ispiri wheels.
- He left the windows trim in silver. Mine have gone to gloss black as per factory colour.
- His car has awesome colour and it looks excellent in blue colour. Mine is Sophisto Grey. Mine looks black in dark colour and Grey when its sunny. Not very attractive colour but look decent enough.
- Best part is sport gearbox. His is standard auto but mine is sport which come with flappy paddles.
- His speedometer it 6WA and mine is basic. That is on my modification list. There is a lot of work involved and I am on the project.

Thanks for bringing it into my attention.

Not fully mate, I am afraid. I drove the car to few minutes. Normal running temp is nearly 90-100 on F series and displayed. It was b.w 75-80 when I made the video.

It sounds better when its fully warmed up and I have no idea why?

It was fully muted before this exhaust. I could only hear engine noise barely. Now I can hear the exhaust notes on higher revs.
