For those without AIS, I just checked the AIS Panama Approach map and there is no Bellona. One of these hours it is finally going to appear and shock me that it is there.

Are the free AIS subscriptions going through, yet? I know some people weren't able to get passwords, but maybe they are going through now.

Hmmm. I wonder what is going on with their site. I will keep posting AIS updates then. My subscription goes for one more week. My guess is that the Bellona will hit the PanCanal Approach Friday or Saturday. It will be interesting to see when it really hits!

I just checked the AIS map. No Bellona.

question, how long would it take for them to truck it from Jacksonville to cali? longer than the 14 days it takes on the ship?!! i know you can't truck all 6000 cars, but maybe just mine?!!

I just ordered a Mercedes SUV that is being made in Alabama. They finish production the week of August 23 and my dealer told me it will take about three weeks for it to make it to Salt Lake via train (to Denver) and truck (to Salt Lake). Of course, they are dealing with a bunch of cars at that point.

I think if you paid a trucking company privately to truck your car to you, it would take a week or less. When they trucked my car last year from Long Beach to Salt Lake they left Long Beach mid morning on a Thursday and my car arrived at 3 a.m. the next morning. So, less than 24 hours to go across three states. As long as they could pick it up without delay (which would be the hardest part) and get on the road, it would get there quick. I think making those arrangements would be tough, though. I had originally asked my dealer if I could pick my car up in Long Beach and drive it myself to Salt Lake. The dealer pretty much said it would be a big hassle because the VPC would have to release it to a SoCal MB dealer so they could release it to me and I would have to pick it up there. It would take lots of calls and paperwork.

I am hurrying to post this map. I can't remember, from this thread, why the Falstaff and Bellona are linked together, but here is the Falstaff in the Panama Approach. Does that mean Bellona is getting close???

By the way, on these AIS maps, the green arrows mean the ship is moving at normal speed; yellow means they are moving less than 5 knots or they could be sitting still, but their engines are still on; red means their engines are turned off. (I think that is how it goes, if I am remembering this correctly from tracking my own car last year.)

I believe the Falstaff left Bremerhaven a day later than the Bellona, but took a direct route to Panama rather than making pit stops in Southhampton and Jacksonville.

That she is there can only mean that the Bellona is VERY close behind!!

Falstaff does not have bimmers, but is scheduled to arrive to Port Hueneme the same day as Bellona.

Bellona must be close behind. Here is the latest AIS map. Looks like Falstaff has docked. No Bellona, yet.

Cool! The Falstaff is sure doing a lot of moving around. It has gone back out of the enclosed Limon Bay into the open ocean. It has been sitting out there for awhile. Maybe that is where it is going to park for the night. Here's the updated map. . .
