I'm sure your manual would have burbles. I guess I am confused then, how do you plan to take the single pipe after the resonator and make it into a dual exhaust? You need the y pipe do you not?
Planning to do a setup like this

Well that will work, but it isn't going to have the most even flow.

Any particular reason you don't want a y pipe that would be designed to split the exhaust flow evenly between the dual pipes?

Right now I'm trying to help out the gentleman posting above you who bumped this thread asking about how to do this because that's what this forum is about. Ok cuzzy?
Why would you take the 328i badge off then? Legit blows my mind mate.

Why don't you put a 335i badge on since your car pretty much is a 335i now (minus the twin turbo setup).

And as I mentioned before, I too have a N/A 325i with a quad exhaust setup - and I wouldn't debadge it so people think it's anything more than a 325i.

No need to get your knickers in a knot mate.

I've got that set up with mine... And as Blindside stated, the flow isn't 100% even... More like 85%/15%.

That's fine if you don't like my dual setup with the debadge. I had gloss black 328i badging for a few years and over the course of time it faded to a horrible matte black and I couldn't stand it, so I took it off. I wanted to see how it looked without badging and preferred it.

As for the exhaust, the only reason I did a dual conversion is Duke Dynamics only made a carbon performance diffuser in the dual exhaust. Otherwise I would have kept the 328i exhaust because I preferred the asymmetrical look of the 328i. My knickers are in no knot. You just have no idea why I have modded my car the way I have.

Here is how it sits now, maybe you think I'm trying to fake it as an M3 too? Honestly, I just tried to take a 328i from boring to exciting. I love my car now, how it looks and how it drives so if you can't understand that, that's ok too.

I love this pic.

Car looks great man, srs.

Bruh I don't get what you're saying - even I said I've done the dual exhaust setup with my 325i (to make it more fun).

Your car looks great, I'm not denying it - only thing I don't like is the debadging! I don't want people thinking I've got a 335i or M3, I want them to know it's a 325i with my influence haha.

Let's stop arguing - your car looks & sounds awesome.

You've done a great job modding it.

Didn't want to relocate the canister :/ so if i want the burble i need to have the same setup as yours?

I think as long as the muffler is gone, you will have the burble. The custom Y pipe with divider just ensures even flow to both tips.

Say for instance its cold outside, you might see more exhaust coming out from one side but I don't think that would alter the sounds too much.

When its cold, you gan visually see the exhaust gas because its hot. If the flow isn't even, it might look odd to see more coming out of one side.

It could just be the situation of the video. My car doesn't burble when I rev, but anytime I'm coasting and just let of the gas it burbles and pops. Typically the lower the gear, the louder. So if I'm in a parking lot or something I can keep it in first gear, get to about 10mp or 15 at maybe 4-5k rpm and then let of the gas, it will pop pretty loud. But none of my youtube videos are able to capture it.

Thanks Greg! Hoping to actually get a photo shoot done whenever I have the time. Don't have too many pics in it's current state.

Give it a little bit of time. I almost turned right back around to get a muffler put back on. But over a week it definitely got better. It's to the point where it's tolerable. Highway cruising can be a pain, my drone is around 2.5k RPM but if I have to accelerate I just downshift. It doesn't drone above 2.6k RPM

Ah okok , because like i said mine is horrible! when im moving from a stop/traffic light it drone as hell between 2k-3k , i'll give it a week or so , if it doesn't settle down, I'll put an aftermarket muffler on the car..

Still looking for some tips :/ don't know what to put
