1/4 mile times 335i
Just completed my first 1/4 mile track day for import showdown in Reynolds, GA. I got a 2010 335i and was really impressed with my time. Best time was 12.69 at 110 and 2.01 second 60 foot. Mods are tune and downpipes on 93 octane. The temp was around 85 degrees and sunny. Spill your times here. I want to compare.

Has anyone got any stock 1/4 mi times? 12.69 is very impressive to me. Maybe some day I'll do those mods too. Do you have auto trans and have you done any mods to your trans?

112mph trap is moving. (About 400-410hp at the crank) Guessing your 60's were in the 2.0-2.15 range? |

Drop that to a 1.80 and your ET's will be in the 11.89-12.09 range...... Put a sticky tire on the back.....
Nothing wrong with your tune, driving etc. You just need to get the car to come out of the hole better. |

That makes me feel great then. Only been to the strip once in my life and that was a few weeks ago. See my attached slips. Best ET was 11.86 and best trap was 120 mph and all of my 60 fts were over 2.1. That was running it just like I drove it there. No brake boosting (can't with DCT), no launch control, just hitting the gas.

Tell me about the DCT not allowing a little pre boost.... Are you RWD? Make sure the DCT isn't starting you in 2nd gear. It should if you command WOT from the start anyway. |

LC is possible but it's set at 5k rpm, it's not adjustable, and I'm not comfortable sending 500+ ft/lbs of tq to my drivetrain like that. Wife would have my ass if I dropped a drivetrain! MHD is close to a boost by gear solution which would make LC possible in my case so I'll just sit and wait.

Yeah, plus a 5K RPM would just sent the tires up in smoke anyway.
Wonder if you could install a manual switch inline with the brake signal line. So when you apply the brake, and leave the signal circuit open, the DCT thinks your not applying brake..... |

Not sure, but I know of a couple guys with line locks. At least they can use the water box to heat up the tires. I avoided it like the plague.

Grand_Hustle17 is MT so is "normal" to be slower than AT. Is harder to launch and will also drop boost during gear change. I think his numbers are great.

I ran my n55 DCT last night for the first time on a very humid and hot night and could only do a 2.4 60 foot time. Dunno where I am going wrong but my car has catless dp, jb4 was on map 5, er cp an er intercooler and afe intake. Could only pull a 13.5. Launching with the DCT. Any tips for lowering my 60 foot time? I am thinking of lowering psi in rear tyres and mixing some e85 for a e30 mix next time I go.

I didn't feel any spin most runs and my reaction time was 0.2-0.3 but couldn't work out how to drop the 60 foot time. When I went to leave on the last Amber the car felt like it would Hesitate slightly in manual mode, sport button on and traction off completely (held button for 3 seconds). My trap speed was 107mph.
It felt like I was giving it everything off the line without spinning the wheels and the car actually felt quite fast which is why I am confused... |

Don't pay attention to reaction time. It doesn't affect your ET.
Practice with the car on the launch, not going on green. The timer doesn't start until your front tires roll about 6" forward, not when the tree goes green. |
