I got a Maxi Cosi Priori XP after seeing two fitted in the back of a e92 on here. Easy to fit for moving between cars, easy to get the boy in and out of and easy to recline from the front seat.
We originally bought the Recaro Young Sport but took it back because it was a right pain in the arse to get junior in and out of due to the huge wing type bits either side of the head. Shame really as it's a nice looking seat. |

What baby seat isofix base did you have before?
We have the recaro young sport plus Our little one didn't go front facing until 1 year as he wasn't right weight The main likes on ours was the snug head support as we do alot of miles it deemed to be probably be more comfortable and supportive. Downside, it seems heavy compared to others, but then we don't transfer between cars I like the maxi cosi with the spring belts but not found on the isofix version These are my top two choices

Yep, Maxi Cosi Priori here too. In fact we've got two, one for my car and one for the Mrs. Got the second one off eBay when I got tired of moving them from car to car.
No need for Isofix (if they do one?) because the seats stay in all the time anyway. |

Actually, just realised it's the Tobi ones we've got.
We do use an Isofix base for the little 'uns CabrioFix. We used it for Harry too when he was younger. There really is no chance of poor fitment with the larger/older seats. And I don't think they're available for our seats anyway. |

I tried a rear facer but we just could not use it well in wifes car so ended up with jane exo.
Its a front facer but has schock absorbers to take up some of the force of impact in a frontal crash. Little one loves and sometimes even now asks to sleep in it. For short journes ended up with a recaro young sport though at 9months its to early for that one

I've got a britax safelink plus for my 14 month old daughter.
Very good car seat it's an isofix with the top tether. I know a lot of seats don't have the top tether fixing but worth having for the added ridigity when in the car. Kiddecare are good on prices. |

I seem to remember that the BMW one is a rebranded Britax or Maxi Cosi.. The difference being a 300% mark up and a BMW badge!

Yes, I recall something like that. I would imagine it's a perfectly good seat but as pointed out it will be a premium price.
While we're on the subject.... A while ago someone posted a link to a seat protector but I can't for the life of me find it. Any ideas? I got one of these last week but the fit isn't that good. And it squeaks! |

Just use a towel folded in half - works a treat for me. Couple of quid from Dunelm or Tesco and black towels on black leather are nice and discreet.

See if the shop will let you try the seats in the car with your boy in them. As I said, we initially bought the Recaro young sport because it does okay on the tests but mainly because we were swayed by the brand and the sporty look. It turned out to be an absolute nightmare for getting my son in and out of.
Nearly all the big brand seats score the same in terms of safety, it's really just a case of what suits your car, you and your child. If you are in doubt when you buy, make sure the shop will accept returns as I've heard a few don't. |

to protect my interior I've bought few of these, as they are very tough so no chance of pressure spots being formed in the seats by the car seat.
