BMW gone
Traded in my 320d yesterday.
Would just like to say Thanks for all your replies to my posts over the last couple of years. The car itself was great, shame I had such poor dealership experiences in the first year of ownership but managed to find a couple of other decent dealers over time. Just gone back to an Audi TT but this time it is a Mk2 3.2 V6. MPG is not an issue for me now as it was two years ago, and of course I should not be making the mistake of putting diesel into this car! Cheers |

Thanks will still pop in cause you do get some good info in the 'off topic' section on car forums as such.
Here is my new car and yes the V6 models have taken more of a hit over the last year or so cause of Tax and fuel compared to the TDi and TFSI models. My new car is 2 years old and has only done 23k miles has bluetooth phone prep, sat nav plus and parking sensors too but got it for under £17k from an Audi dealer, the trade in on my car was £7k in the end (06 reg 320d SE) and I had to fight for that: Last edited by Tippo; 10-16-2011 at 02:17 PM.. |

nice motor
i had a mildly modded mk1 tt 1.8t, never the sharpest or quickest car, but it had something special about it. then had a mk5 r32. lovely sound track. again not the quickest motor but awesome noise and gripped well. mk2 tt is looking nice. ouch on the trade in for a 5 year old 320d. i wouldn't like to think what a trade in on a 5 year old 3.2v6 would be like. as for road tax, are all the tt's in the higher bracket or have they tweaked on this on newer motors? my r32 was registested jan 2006 and was in the lower tax band ;-)

Lovely car, bet that engine sounds nice after the 320d.
Sounds like prices have taken a hit all round. I got £9500 trade in for my 318d MSport in April. I groaned about that price. |

Tax is an issue for Manuals as they go into the hgihest bracket: £445 pa at the mo.
The semi auto version is lower and is about £180 cheaper but I did not want the DSG so will just have to put up with it. The car sounds so awesome compared to the previous Diesel, got some stuff to tidy up with the dealer about the handover but it is all good at the mo! Tell a lie the trade was actually £7.1k Glasses had my car and it's millage at £7.5k if it was in excellent condition so cannot complain about what I got in the end but not great really I guess cosidering I paid about £13.5k only just over 2 years ago.
