I'm open to BBQ at my house with Beer if you want to help maybe even have a small meet... If you cannot sense it yet I'll be blunt. I would like help to make this easier for me... If not no worries we'll still be Forum buddies.
Installation of components: M3 Front Control Arm Kit M3 Front and Rear Sway Bars M3 Rear Guide Rod and Upper Link M3 Subframe Bushings HPA Swaybar Endlinks UUC SSK Selector Rod - SSK already installed. Bilstein Pss9 - for sale up until installation day. Goodridge SS brake lines OEM Rear Bumper with PDC - Someone backed into my car at the market, I bought a used one from a forum member. I'm by no means a master mechanic, just a DIY type of guy. I like working of my cars I have done work on my car already, this one will just be a bit more labor intensive. Also I will help with any install you have that I am capable to do. Thanks, Jorge Last edited by jzepeda; 06-17-2011 at 01:07 PM.. |

Give you guys an idea of where I'm at. I'm off the 60fwy Nogales exit. Major crossing freeway 57fwy, Major cross streets are Nogales and Amar, border of the City West Covina and Walnut. I know I should have done a little at a time but I just couldn't help myself. I'm starting to prep tonight so I going to start at the first sight of light tomorrow. I'll update the thread as I go, hopefully it will help others trying to do the same or similar setup. If anyone needs certain pics let me know I do what I can. Thanks, Jorge Last edited by jzepeda; 06-10-2011 at 11:14 PM.. |

I'm planning on tackling this as well in the next few weeks whenever I can find the time. If you can, please take photos or even create a DIY. That would be a huge help to the forum and me. Best of luck with the project

Looking good so far, keep up the good work!
When you get to it, can you post about the UUC DSSR? I have it but just haven't bothered trying to install it for the past year haha. Thanks

ok just an update. sub frame has been lowered. I was expecting the worst and preparing myself but it was very easy. once it unbolted I only needed to lower it maybe 6inch. I have 2 pass side bushings out. I'm taking pics but I will post them on my next break(lunch)

OK all bushing are out and this was also easy, but I'm afraid the install will not be.. here are some random pics. I'm going to lunch and pick up some silicone spray and be back in a bit to install them.

Ok. Bushings are in. this is a slow and tiring process. The rear were easier than the fronts. The fronts took me a while to get started. Up next rear swaybar.

Ok. Rear suspension has been put back together with new M3 swaybar, upper control arm and guide rod, bilstien rear coilover springs are in as well just need to swap out the shocks. I also need to torque the subframe bolts but I'll wait unitl the car is on the ground. I'll post pics in a bit I'm starting on the UUC SSK Selector rod. this has me at just about 12 hours on the project. I'll give it another 2-3 hours and then day 1 is complete.
Moving on to changing the Transmission fluid to Redline D4. Last edited by jzepeda; 06-11-2011 at 09:12 PM.. |

First set back the DSSR hits the upper arm in reverse. good thing I checked every gear entry before installing the driveshaft. I hate UUC..... The first one they sent me was defective and this one is incorrect. I'm done with that company. I'll find out which one I have and just sell it to the person with the correct application. I'm calling it for tonight. I just remembered I have a wedding to attend tomorrow so the saga will continue Monday. thanks for looking.
