New tire/rim recommendations for '08 328xi?
I have the standard Continental Run Flat 205 55 R16's that came with my BMW a year ago when I bought it CPO. I'm not thrilled with their performance as far as their ride and sound. Any recommendations on new tires with a better and quieter ride? Also, I'm considering upsizing to a larger rim. Any recommendations on that?

Since you are upgrading, you might as well upgrade to 18" rims and tires. I get all my wheels from Craisglist where lots of BMW owners are selling their OEM wheels and going with aftermarket setups. I just bought a set of staggered OEM style 189's from a guy for my 2011 328xi. I ordered Continental DWS non-runflat tires that will be installed tomorrow.

That's great advice. I use craigslist a lot for all sorts of stuff but never even considered it for wheels. Thanks!

Here you go!
I had to separate the tires from the rims because I needed the TPMS. They would not have worked on your 2008 anyway. When you buy new wheels, you can reuse your existing sensors from your 16" wheels. The shop that installs them will replace the seals as part of the installation price. http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/n...857017564.html http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/n...857053954.html |

Just had Hankook Ventus V12 Evos put on two weeks ago and love them. Handling has improved as well as ride comfort ( had the Conti Sports RFT ). Car and Driver rates them very high, plus they're inexpensive. http://www.caranddriver.com/comparisons/hankook-ventus-v12-evo-page-10?redirect=no
