Thanks for posting these pictures. Very interesting to actually see the guts of a stock piston!

They are lighter but also much stronger than the factory pieces. Another benefit with lighter components is a lighter rotational mass so that the engine can spin easier meaning it doesn't have to work as hard to make power. This is all to demonstrate and show what the M57 is capable of doing and finding any weak links.

The valves are 1mm oversized and the valve seats are made from beryllium.

What does this cost, and what is the expected power level?

What turbo is being used?

The valves are +1mm on both intake and exhaust.

This is our shop build that is being used to explore the potential of this platform. We don't know what the expected power level is we will be going into uncharted territory that no one has be to yet.

We will be using hybrid turbos.

Beryllium valve seats? What were the originals made from? Stuff is a dangerous stuff to breath if dust is produced. Presume you all bought them ready to go and installed into head. Beryllium very bad ass stuff in terms of modulus to density ratio. Used inside nuclear weapons. Go read Sum of all Fears by Tom Clancy.

Awesome. You know, that's only ever been my 1 fundamental complaint about the car. A tighter torque converter with the internals to handle it would make this car a seriously insane monster.

Is it tighter or same as stock stall? I guess the tcc was upgraded, but the tc itself might have the same characteristics as oem.

It has a higher stall than the factory torque converter.

Are they estimating that static or footbrake? Compared to the stocker? I don't understand how you can select a converter without knowing exactly where the torque peak is on the engine yet. Probably not important if you do not plan on any serious racing.
