my 758087 is from 2007 apparently.

I had sucessfully updated the amp, tcu and mulf using winkfp, so no idea what I did there with the transmission.

That's possible, but also strange as I took my car in several times for the 1-2 hesitation/downshift/lurches and I know one time they specifically said they were updating the module to hopefully help. If I think about it, that date seems close (22NOV2013)

I do have an old UIF scan from inpa, and I'll get another one today with whatever it is currently that seems to work fine.

so the scan from 7/12 shows ZB 7585087

and so does my current one because apparently I don't know how to use winkfp to update a module properly..........

so it for sure works with that program number.
Let me know if you need help...I became unfortunately familiar with WinKFP updates....

Well numerically, 7585087 < 76304248 < 7634252
Not sure if it actually means its progressions or just different versions for different variants.

I'm also unsure if there's a software or hardware difference between pre lci and lci since the valvebodies apparently changed.

but thats what I've got and the calibration flash happened without issue.

Interesting...stumbled upon this thread from a few years back when I was resarching an ICOM unit - they had similar errors that I did. So maybe it has something to do with the cable not being up to stuff? Though I do have a Bimmergeeks cable from around that era.

The bimmergeeks cable should work. the reason most D-CAN cables don't work is because of a firmware bug that actually writes garbage data on some modules (this also includes I think the CCC/CIC, transmission modules, and MSS60/MSS65 DMEs). On modules where they do work despite the bugs, write times are often a lot slower.

Also, since the stock file worked in comfort mode, the cable is not the issue I don't think.

edit: here I think is our answer, I should just talk to Mirza and figure out the cutoff date:

if you go by the valve body parts it's sometime in '10.

https://www.sonnax.com/parts/4629-re...red-valve-body

I don't know when BMW made the changeover to the new castings.
but that would be my guess.

the kits fix things, but you really need the proper tools to do them.

If I had a valve body issue I'd just buy the whole unit that's had the parts installed.

That link was to a whole valve body.

edit:
I've done sonnax parts in a turbo 400.

buy the valve body.......

I have a question for my more experienced colleagues.

After a successful transfer from 328i to 330i, both physically with the manifold and programmatically with the ready-made software from BimmerLab, I wanted to simultaneously update my GM GA6L45R also using a ready-made file from Bimmeslab via WinKFP, similarly to the engine map change.

The file downloaded from Bimmeslab for the gearbox is successfully loaded without any errors, but it is not possible to shift gears from P to D or anything else, and P is not displayed on the dashboard. It seems like there is no communication between the car and the gearbox controller after installing the dedicated file from the BimmerLab website. The WinKFP program automatically starts transmission after enabling the .bin file.

What am I doing wrong?

The required other part isn't on Bimmerlabs due to issues on LCI cars.. you are going to flash back to stock unfortunately.

Check out my posts on this topic. You have the wrong zb # for your transmission. If you have awd that will matter.

Wrong file ZB?

INPA shows that I have #HW ...553. #ZB is ...088. Don't I have access to other files?
