I updated my DME a couple of weeks ago with wink and thought i had this fixed. A couple of days later, the issue returned. I suspect that resetting the adaptations was the explanation for the temp fix.
The misc. info provided by MHD shows the following: Factory software: 7629786 Current software: 8685016 Was my attempt to update my DME a bust? My goal was just to update to a new version. I wasn't interested in the ppk burbles. My exhaust is already louder than I like(catless dp + dinan exhaust). |

Joe@TopGearSolutions I see that an external power supply is needed for the DME update (I'm on 863). You're talking about a heavy duty automotive supply, not a battery tender, right? I figure if I have to go buy one of those, then I'd probably come out about the same on cost if I had it done at the dealer, plus it would be their liability if something went wrong. Thanks.

I've even had customers insist on doing it without a tender because they just replaced their battery. Not a bricked DME yet... (knock on wood) |

Hi. I have a 2011 X6 35i and I'm having the same symptoms of the others earlier in this thread. I get the jerky idle that is made much worse by the AC being on.
According to my Bav Technic tool the software version is 07620164, which I am assuming is quite outdated and affected by the issues raised in this thread? I am keen to get this flash if it can resolve the issue, as I have already spent time/money replace the coils, plugs, vacuum lines etc. and cant find a vacuum leak to blame this on. Would it be compatible with my X6 or is it only for E9x model cars? Thanks |

Apparently I can’t get the PPK update for my car so I decided to load a stage 1 MHD map.
This hasn’t fixed the issue for me, though I’m not sure if this flash updates the dme parameters that are in question. |

No, you need a software update, which a tune does not provide.

So do I need to remove the MHD flash and go back to stock to then be able to update the DME or can it be updated with the MHD as is? I'm keen to proceed so let me know what I need to do. |

The issue is fixed by flashing the updated BMW/OEM software, then the user can flash MHD again to regain the extra HP/TQ while not having the RPM issue. |
