Which gear oil do I need?

It’s for my e92 330d pre lci 2006 manual. And what’s the capacity?
From my searching I think a litre of 75/90 is right but thought I’d confirm on here.
Thanks.

I got to Halfords and decided I really did need to get the right stuff to save me the hassle of bringing it back if I got it wrong so drove the car up a curb and managed to crawl under enough to see the label. Turns out it’s got the yellow mtf-lt-2 sticker which means 75/80 fluid.
Done the change now which was a sinch. Probably the placebo effect but the gear change feels smoother I think.
Doesn’t matter anyway, just knowing it’s got fresh oil in it is nice to know, the old stuff looked very black.

It only takes a litre!
Definitely worth doing. I thought gear changes were a bit smoother when I first did it but a few weeks on they’ve gotten even better gradually.

Really? Mine took almost 2L (pretty much exactly 2 US quarts), which matches the 2L BMW offered to sell me for it (for £46!). You do have the ZF GS6-53DZ box, right?
