Brembo is made in China. These are more than likely 2nd tier QC parts that brembo won't accept or they are selling them on the side.

I presume they are all made on the same assembly line - they just 'put some to the side' or have the workers 'stay late' and crank out some 'unbranded' ones that still happen to get the branding and serial numbers.

No way in hell Brembo is authorizing QC failed 'seconds' for under $1000 a set.

No chance these are made by Brembo, factory second/QC fail or otherwise. Why would Brembo devalue its own brand selling good brakes at knock-off rates through a questionable marketplace? Why would they risk their reputation or a law suit by selling parts which failed QC? They wouldn't, end of discussion.

They are also not made by a Brembo subcontract manufacturer or supplier; they wouldn't risk their contract with Brembo just to sell a handful of brakes on Alibaba.

Brembo also wouldn't license the design to a company, only for that company to brand the brakes as Brembo.

So we can be very confident they're nothing more than a Brembo copy. They could be a very accurate copy, and therefore nigh on indistinguishable from a Brembo original, but is it worth the risk? No. There are plenty safe options for brake upgrades for the same money as these, as mentioned by plenty others here. But then the supplied bleed nipples don't even seal!?! Run a mile!! They're clearly not up to scratch as a functional component of a car, let alone one of the most critical safety components!

As if all that wasn't enough, you've then got the point that they're counterfeit parts. Engaging in the trade of these is damaging to Brembo (financial and probably reputational), and therefore tantamount to theft from Brembo.

All that just to have larger brakes which look a certain way? Really?

Order the real BBK made for the car if you need a BBK. The stoptechs are nice I have them. You can usually find them used front and back ST60/ST40 for around 3k.

If you just want the look of big rotors and calipers and don't care that your brake bias or ABS will be off get whatever is the cheapest I guess

Just to give an example of super research...
This project I did in the 90s on my Pontiac Grand AM GT, I fitted a 13 inch Corvette Baer big brake kit to a Chevy Cavalier front hub assembly in order to make it work.
It was the thing to do with the domestic cars.

Went from 9 inches to 13 inches. What guy wouldn't want that! LMFAO!

I just watched that video above from Zero to 60. Those guys are pretty cool.

I just put these together recently. I'm waiting on some steel braided brake lines and the pressure bleeder and then they will go on the car.

I purchased a used set and had them Powder Coated and rebuilt them.
I'm running Hawk HPS pads now and the car stops pretty well so for my daily this is a good compromise

I've been watching the Zero to 60 series on their 335i. I'm hoping for the best on their...Brembos. I'm not opposed to buy no name and eBay parts, but their are some areas where I just don't trust them, and brakes is one of those areas. The kit looks nice, but I'm wondering if it wouldn't be safer and get equal results just using some of pieced together kits with better rotors, pads, and lines.

I only did the fronts. A friend got both front and rear and he did say the bracket for the rear did not fit well.

I haven't done any track days but a number of "Mexico" visits with 140+ speeds and quick slowdowns.

I'm very pleased with mine, great fade resistance and no warping that I've experienced. No issues with bias that I have seen, and pedal is fine.

What size are you picking up? I'm thinking about getting just the front kit too, 355x32 since I have the 18" wheels.

Yeah I'm going with the same size. I originally wanted 380 but they claim the caliper won't clear and I'll need a 20" rim.
