Keighley trade centre had one for that kind of money a few weeks back.

Looked fine and mileage was not that high.

Heard too many horror stories about the seller though.

100k is not alot for a car like that, But it is alot of miles, and will show signs of wear.

Please do start a new thread on UK mate.

I am at 72k and no doubt the guts of mine are in a terrible mess by now.
It would have been excellent to have some recent dyno numbers to compare with, before and after.

I have the brushes and tools to do this already but no time
But I do have two recent dyno plots at different locations (results within 5% of each other)

So this coking up is a serious problem for 335i's?

The cars had rough idle shakes for about 18 months, since 50k I'd say. Recently the car had been running super rich, mpg had dropped slighty n whilst it was still quick had lost a bit of low down power.

The car went in for a new head gasket (engine out job) so it was a no brainer to send the head of for a full strip down, new seals n professional port n polish. The amount of carbon is unreal, car should be ready tomoz so I'll start a proper thread in a few days.

I'll speak to Darren n get a special e90post cost for a decarb service as I guess that alot on here are gonna be over the 50k mark now.

Given the amount of carbon on mine I'm pretty confident that it's the cause of the above symptoms.

Anyway, don't want to hijack this thread, I post a new one later in the week.

guy guy guys..................

try bg44k before you contemplate a strip down. its supposedly the best there is & I use the diesel version in my 335d & its supposed to contain the highest concentration of carbon removal of any product

search the forums & there are some good reviews

http://www.fueltechexperts.com/2008/...44k-and-bg244/

http://www.powerenhancer.co.uk/produ...7b601ccb41d375

can buy cheapest on ebay but I bought trough power enhancer.

no ties with this company just using as a preventative

This won't make a tad of difference to carbon build up on the N54 as the fuel doesn't go near the intake valves, it's a di engine. Even Seafoam or similar through the DV lines is only going to loosen the top layer of shite. Only way to clean it properly is by hand.

As i said, i'll start another tread in a few days.
