Had the e93 on stands to change the springs and took a look at the oil leak(s)
Oil seems to run down the left rear of the head, onto turbos, down down pipes along the exhaust to the cross brace at the rear of the transmission where it joins a leak from the transmission sleeve. I also noticed a lot of dry oil around the oil filter housing.

So I plan to replace the following:
Rocker cover gasket
Oil Filter housing gaskets.
Transmission sealing sleeve.
Transmission Filter.

Any suggestions on where I might find good parts in Sydney. It looks like runautosports has everything in stock but I have no idea what the quality of the parts is. For example for the sealing sleeve the price varies between $14 for a Topran and $51 for a Vaico.

Is there any brand to avoid?
Are there any particular parts that one should only use OEM
Is there any distributor to avoid?

For gaskets I would only use OEM imo. Not worth saving a few dollars and have to do the job again. For other things not so important but for gaskets I would only use the genuine part

Ok thanks Socket. Did you ever do the oil filter housing. Some posts say you can do it without removing the manifold.
If the manifold has to come off then it might be worth walnut blasting the inlets.
