e92 Hifi custom - Audio Cuts out
I have a CIC head unit, Match 7UP dps for the door speakers, and a sub amp and x2 10 inch subs in the trunk.
When I turn the music up, say about 15 minutes, everything in the car cuts out. I contacted Match thinking it was the 7UP overheating and they insisted it was not this amp and they have never had any issues with it overheating. I am not really a audio guru, and not really sure what else it could be so was hoping to get some advice here... Cheers! |

How's your battery ?Whats the voltage?
How many whats it the total system. Try disconnecting the sub amp as away to eliminate what is most likely the biggest current drain. If things work with the Sub amp disconnected it is most likely overloading the cars electrical system. Is this something that is just now occuring or was it a result of a recent install. Are you running large power wires to both amps . Have you checked that the grounds are good? Which means actually measuring them with and ohmmeter. Last edited by ctuna; 09-23-2020 at 02:30 PM.. |
