OK... I've thinking about this exhaust system for a little while. A couple questions for anyone with knowledge of the Bastuck system...

From what I understand, the 335i coupe exhaust is separated into 3 sections:

section 1 - secondary catted pipes
section 2 - rear x pipe
section 3 - mufflers

That said, it is my understanding that the Bastuck exhaust includes section 3 only. My questions are these:

Does Bastuck make a full exhaust system that replaces all 3 sections?
If no, does any combination of manufacturers make sections 1 and/or 2 that will fit with the Bastuck section 3?
If no, what are people doing to install the Bastuck section 3?

My concern is this vehicle is a leased vehicle and although I may purchase the car at lease end, I would like to retain the ability to reverse any modification I make to the car.

Your input is greatly appreciated.

1. Bastuck doesn't make a full system, just the Section 3/rear muffler.
2. most peoples are change the section one (cat delete pipes). dont know if section 2 fits.

best is, you go to an muffler shop and make a custom section 1+2.

Robmaster is right. most people do the sectio I and the Bastuck Muffler. Right now, the options on the section I that I recommend is Borla. As for custom pipes, as long as you have a capable shop, that may be the route to go. The bastuck supplies an adapter pipe with flange. When doing custom pipe, you can mate the custom pipe to this adapter pipe with flange.

Here is a full review of the Bastuck Exhaust System by E90post member Fraggy.
Thanks Fraggy for the awesome video!!

I know the first question is going to be about drone, well, its about as drone free as can be. With the 2nd cats in place, there is NO drone, with them removed, you can coax a bit of drone if you REALLY REALLY try But like I said, you have to really try to make it happen, so yes, its drone free. A true marvel indeed, because when you get on it, the thing gets real loud with the cats off.

I have about 800 miles on mine and the sound is beautiful, nearly intoxicating. I just want to drive all the time just so that I can hear it. Mine seems to sound a bit different from the Bastuck on the famous King335 video. It could be related to the Magnaflow X-Pipe I have installed, but I dont really know for sure. At WOT its has a more higher pitched hollow sound than I expected, but which I do like. You can also hear that sound coming from the tips while cruising in higher gears at like around 2700 RPM which is beautiful.

Overall, its the best exhaust I have owned for this car, and for those that have followed the saga, Ive been through a few different ones and different configurations to finally get the sound I was looking for.

Ok, onto the video. I am not pleased with it but its the best I have right now. I will be making a better one soon when I get some time.

Robmaster, thanks for clarifying that.

The exhaust is just what is commonly known as "section 3". You can mix and match with other section I, such as Borla and section II, such as the magnaflow x-pipe.

The X-pipe and Bastuck section 3 has been put together by "Fraggy" and the sectionI and Bastuck section3 has been the set up for others like "crazy bimmer".

Do the math

1 Euro = 1.5368 U.S. dollars

You have two options by a magnaho cheap muffler or work spend less time on the forums and more time working at your job to help increase the USD
