335I snow tire/wheel size?

I was wondering if anyone knows for sure whether 17" wheels will fit my 2007 335i sport. I have 18" factory wheels now and some leftover 17" snows from my e36 car but would have to buy new wheels and was hoping they would fit.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 2007 335i w/sport package with a six speed manual transmission. I have been through two winters now with my Blizzak Lm-25 tires. They are 225-45-17 (all four) and I got them mounted on low-priced ASA wheels from Tirerack. I like the 225's as compared to the 205's because they are a little sportier but still great in the snow. No alignment problems at all.

Good luck!

you'll have to test to be sure.

some 17s wont fit due to caliper clearance, others will. I run 17s in the winter, but purchased a set from the tire rack that was tested to fit.

i suspect you may need spacers, as i believe (its been a while since i worked on an E36) the offsets were in the 40s where the E9x offsets are in the 30s.

your two problems will be: clearance within the barrel of the rim and clearance between the calipers and the spokes. the front will be the harder of the two ends to get to fit

We have found very few 17" wheels will fit over the 335i brakes. You can view the handful that do here :

See if you find a set of used oem 17" for sale. That's what I did.

Not all 17's will clear the calipers, you can go oem 17's as cvc 22349a stated I went with 17 162 replica wheels with Toyo Garrit KX tires (225-45-17 all four corners).
